We have huge application using Qt and doing tons of allocations, even starting it with 2.5.0 linked became huge pain, doing every action is very slow too. Just installing 2.4.1 makes things much faster. Looking at changelog I can't see what could have caused such slowdown. Possibly I could profile what takes so long if I'd have a spare time a bit later but looks like this update makes VLD practically unusable for our app.
Comments: I just installed 2.5 and am experiencing this same issue. My application startup time is now 4 minutes vs about 10 seconds on the older version. I'm running a 32 bit application on Windows 10 and Visual Studio 2008 if that is any help. I updated is because the old version I was using started causing my program to crash on startup.
